What we are, and what we are not

What we offer instead of an unverifiable claim of independence is verifiability — a named publisher with a company number, named clinical reviewers with GDC registration numbers, and a citable source beside each factual claim. No manufacturer can pay for inclusion in our implant database or for a more favourable comparison, and our published entries state plainly where a fact could not be verified rather than filling in a plausible answer. Clinical content is reviewed for accuracy by GDC-registered UK dentists, each verifiable on the General Dental Council register at olr.gdc-uk.org.

Our editorial standards
Every page on this site is written to be accurate, balanced and genuinely useful. We present comparisons fairly, including the drawbacks of each option, and we draw on established clinical evidence and recognised UK dental authorities such as the General Dental Council, the British Dental Association, the NHS, the Oral Health Foundation, the Faculty of Dental Surgery and the British Dental Journal. Where treatment abroad is discussed, we focus on the markers of a safe, accredited clinic rather than promoting any single provider uncritically.
Who writes this, and who checks it
Pages are written by our editorial team and published under the byline Dental Implants Guide — Editorial. Authorship and clinical review are deliberately separate roles. Clinical content is then checked for accuracy by a panel of 24 dentists on the UK register, including registered specialists in periodontics and orthodontics. Each reviewer is named on the page they reviewed, with a General Dental Council registration number you can look up yourself at olr.gdc-uk.org.
No clinician from the clinic we refer patients to authors or reviews anything on this site. That is a deliberate rule, not an oversight: a clinic vouching for the guide that sends it patients is not a check on that guide, and treating it as one would make the review signal worthless. Review confirms that the clinical information reflects current practice — it remains general information and is never a substitute for a personal examination.
