- Commercially pure titanium Unalloyed titanium used for surgical implants, supplied in four grades of increasing strength. It is the material most dental implants have been made from since the 1970s.
- Grade 4 titanium The strongest of the four unalloyed titanium grades defined by ASTM F67, and the grade most widely used for dental implant fixtures.
- Titanium-zirconium alloy A binary alloy of titanium and zirconium developed for dental implants, offering higher tensile strength than unalloyed titanium while remaining free of aluminium and vanadium.
