It does not, but it is not meaningless either — a brand's home market shapes what it builds, which regulators it answers to first, and how easily its components can be obtained where you live. How we assign a country
We use the brand's home country rather than where a particular batch was machined or where its corporate owner is registered. Ownership in this industry crosses borders constantly — Neodent is Brazilian though Straumann Group owns it, and Nobel Biocare's Swedish origins long predate its current American parent. Collapsing those into the owner's address would erase the distinction most people are asking about.
