Overview

MIS — the name stands for Make It Simple — is an Israeli manufacturer bought outright by Dentsply Sirona in 2016 and deliberately kept as a separate value brand rather than folded into Astra Tech. That was the stated logic of the deal: address the premium and value ends of the market with distinct organisations and brands. UK patients most often encounter MIS in quotes for treatment abroad, where its lower price is part of the appeal. Being owned by a large listed group is a reasonable signal about component availability, but it says nothing about whether the implant is equivalent to that group’s premium line, and MIS components are not interchangeable with Astra Tech ones.
