The biggest differences
NobelActive is an expanding tapered implant with a double-lead thread and apical cutting blades. NobelReplace Conical Connection is offered in a standard version and a Partially Machined Collar version, the latter leaving the coronal collar smooth rather than textured and supplied with a cover screw. The surfaces differ as catalogued: TiUltra on NobelActive, TiUnite on NobelReplace CC.

There is also a length-labelling difference between the two that is easy to miss: the NobelReplace CC implant is 0.6 mm longer than the length in its name, while NobelActive is 0.5 mm shorter than its name.
Prosthetic ecosystem
The connection is the same, so components cross between them. The trap is upstream of that: NobelReplace as a name also covers NobelReplace Tapered and Replace Select implants placed before the move to the conical connection, and those carry the internal tri-channel interface instead. A patient record saying only 'NobelReplace' does not identify which, and radiographic confirmation or the original surgical record is usually needed.
What may influence clinical selection
Where NobelReplace CC is chosen it is often for the partially machined collar option, which some clinicians prefer where the collar may end up exposed. NobelActive is the choice where the site is soft or fresh and stability has to be generated during placement. Neither is a successor to the other; both are current entries in the same catalogue.
Important limitations
Our NobelReplace CC record leaves thread, apex, material, level and platform switching unknown, because the manufacturer pages we reviewed do not state them. That makes for a sparse table on that side, and the sparseness reflects available documentation rather than a simpler product.
So which is better?
Neither is universally better, and any page telling you otherwise is selling something.

bone available, the position in the mouth, the planned restoration, and what the treating
clinician is equipped and experienced to place and to service years from now.

differences: components need to remain obtainable for as long as the implant is in place.
