Grand Morse is Neodent’s single connection across its main implant range, which is itself a design decision worth noting: one connection for every diameter means the prosthetic components do not fragment by implant size. Neodent is explicit that the 16 degrees it quotes is the full included angle, and that precision is unusually helpful, because most of the confusion when patients compare conical connections comes from manufacturers quoting angles by different conventions and the numbers appearing to disagree when the geometry does not. The company pairs the taper with platform switching and with a recommendation to place the implant 1 to 2 mm below the bone crest, and presents the three together as a system for preserving marginal bone. The independent evidence supports the platform-switching component of that argument at around half a millimetre of bone level difference, which is real but smaller than promotional framing usually implies, and the subcrestal placement argument rests largely on the manufacturer’s own literature review.
