Overview
Grade 4 is the strongest unalloyed titanium in the ASTM F67 family. It is often described in marketing as simply 'titanium', which obscures the point: the additional strength over grades 1 to 3 comes from tightly controlled residual oxygen, not from adding another metal. That matters clinically because it keeps the material unalloyed — there is no aluminium or vanadium present — while still allowing reasonably narrow implant designs.
