Overview

Titanium-zirconium is the main commercially significant alternative to unalloyed titanium in implant fixtures. Its practical appeal is narrow-diameter implants: the additional strength lets a manufacturer make a thinner implant without dropping to a weaker material, which is why it appears most often in reduced-diameter and short implant ranges.
