Overview
ZERAMEX XT is the flagship of the Swiss ZERAMEX range and one of the few genuinely two-piece, screw-retained ceramic implants. The engineering problem it solves is joining an abutment to a brittle zirconia body with a reversible screw; ZERAMEX uses a carbon-fibre-reinforced PEEK screw (VICARBO) to do this. It is made from alumina-toughened zirconia and comes in four lengths across three platform widths, which the manufacturer labels SB, RB and WB rather than giving millimetre diameters on the product page — so the widths are recorded here as unknown while the lengths are documented.
